Your bank shows you everything. Which is the same as nothing.

Tally takes a month of transactions, the bills that have not landed yet, and the budget you set — and returns one figure you can act on. Everything below is the same app, drawn here exactly as it looks on the phone.

The app

Five screens. One number.

Every screen below is drawn here exactly as it is drawn on the phone — the same type, the same numbers, the same colours.

Screen 01 / 05

The number, before anything else.

Bills due before payday are reserved before you ever see it. It is not your balance, and it is not a guess dressed up as one.

Screen 02 / 05

A score from one to five.

How the month is actually going, with the projection that comes out of it. Four means on track — and on track to land $212 under.

Screen 03 / 05

Where it all actually went.

Money Flow draws the whole month in one picture: what came in on the left, what it turned into on the right. No pie chart, no legend to decode.

Screen 04 / 05

Filed the moment it lands.

Merchant named, category set, recurring charges recognised from your own history. Correct one and Tally keeps the correction.

Screen 05 / 05

Different incomes. Same rent.

Split what you share by what each of you earns, and settle in one tap. There is no screen in Tally that shows one person's spending to anyone else.

Multi-currency

One budget. Two countries.

A rent in kroner and a salary in dollars is not two budgets. Tally holds 32 currencies in one plan and converts between them — so the line items stay in the money they were actually spent in, and the total at the bottom is still true.

Show the total in

Nothing is re-typed and nothing is rounded twice. Each line keeps its own currency; only the total is converted, at the rate Tally refreshes every day.

The reason this app exists

Every currency Tally converts

Four languages

Tally speaks your language. So does this page.

Pick one and watch — the whole page changes, phone screens included, because the whole app does. In Tally, language is a setting you choose, not a guess made from your phone, and the number and date formatting follows it.

The rest of it

Everything else, without the chores.

Your banks, every day

More than 12,000 US banks connect through Plaid, read-only. Plaid is the one that holds your bank credentials — they are never typed into Tally.

Apple Card & Apple Cash

Straight from Apple Wallet through FinanceKit, with the same one-tap permission every other Apple app uses. No export, no screenshot, no copy and paste.

Recurring, caught

Subscriptions and bills found in your own history — including the ones that quietly went up, and the ones charging you twice for the same thing.

Bring your own file

CSV and bank export files import cleanly, with ready-made presets for banks across the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium and Ireland.

Where you already look

Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets, a Live Activity while a budget is tight, and Siri when your hands are full: “Hey Siri, what is safe to spend?”

Two people, one plan

Share a budget with a partner or a household. Split by income, settle in one tap, and keep your own transactions to yourself.

The floor

What is true, exactly.

Money apps reach for words that sound like proof and mean nothing. Below each claim is the phrase we will not use, and why.

Your bank login is never typed into Tally.

US banks connect through Plaid, read-only. Plaid is the party that holds the credentials and the relationship with your bank. Disconnect any bank, any time, from inside the app.

We will not write: a security “level” borrowed from banks. The phrase has no definition, so there is nothing for you to check.

There is no screen in Tally that shows one person's spending to anyone else.

Shared budgets show shared totals and who owes whom. Your own transactions stay yours, even inside a family group. That is a fact about the screens, and you can check it.

We will not write: a promise about what no one, anywhere, can ever see. Nobody can prove a negative that large. We can prove the screens.

Your data is yours to take, or to delete.

Export everything as a file. Delete your account from Settings and it goes with it. Face ID lock and hidden amounts are one switch away in the app.

We will not write: any badge or outside inspection of Tally, because there is none to name. We are a small team that would rather be exact than impressive.

Questions

Asked, answered.

Is Tally free?

Tally is free to download. Tally Pro — bank sync, all 32 currencies, shared budgets and the rest — starts with a 7-day free trial, then $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year. Cancel any time in your Apple subscription settings.

How does bank sync work?

US banks connect through Plaid, read-only, across more than 12,000 institutions. Plaid is the one that holds your bank credentials; they are not typed into Tally. Apple Card and Apple Cash come straight from Apple Wallet through FinanceKit. You can disconnect a bank at any time from inside the app.

Can my partner see my spending?

There is no screen in Tally that shows one person's spending to anyone else. Shared budgets show shared totals and who owes whom — not each other's transactions.

Can one budget really hold two currencies?

Yes — thirty-two of them. Each line item keeps the currency it was actually spent in, and the totals convert at a rate Tally refreshes daily. A rent in kroner and a salary in dollars live in the same plan.

What languages does Tally speak?

English, Danish, Dutch and French. Language is a setting inside Tally rather than a guess from your phone, so you can run an English phone in Danish, and the number and date formatting follows your choice.

Does Tally work outside the United States?

Yes. Direct bank sync covers US banks today. Everywhere else, transactions import from a CSV or bank export file, with ready-made presets for banks in the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium and Ireland.

Does one subscription cover my family?

Yes. Tally Pro supports Apple Family Sharing, so one subscription covers up to six people in your family group.
